WEPOWER ANNOUNCES SYSTEM TO MASS PRODUCE ITS INNOVATIVE PACWIND TURBINES

January 19th, 2009

Breakthrough Manufacturing Processes Will Provide Clean Wind Energy To All

Torrance, Calif. (January 19, 2009) – WePOWER, LLC., a developer of clean energy solutions around the world, announced today that it has secured the capacity to mass produce up to 500,000 of its PacWind turbines in the United States within a 12-month period. This capability enables the company to swiftly and cost-effectively deliver its clean energy wind turbines to consumers, home-owners, businesses, developers and wind farms throughout the nation.

The key to WePOWER’s mass production is the company’s patented, proprietary air foils and pultrusion, a process that involves pulling raw materials through a heated steel-forming die. WePOWER’s current manufacturing facilities are located in California, Minnesota, Ohio and Virginia.

“WePOWER’s system to mass produce wind turbines is significant because it allows us to bring accessible wind energy to consumers, businesses and wind energy developers,” explained Marvin Winkler, CEO of WePOWER. “Through our innovative technology and manufacturing capacity, we will help bring to life the goals and aspirations of the nation’s green leaders who envision micro-utilities, a smart grid and new clean energy jobs in the US.”

Five hundred thousand PacWind turbines can enable:

CLEAN POWER. At an average wind speed of 10mph, the PacWind turbines can generate an estimated 2.4 billion kWh of electricity per year, which is enough to power over 210,000 homes per year. At 28mph, they can generate about 11 billion kWh per year, which is enough to power about 1 million homes per year.

NEW JOBS. Create about 5,000 jobs in the US through development, manufacturing, sales and installation.

REDUCED EMISSIONS.  Reduce the equivalent of over 750,000 tons of CO² from being emitted into the Earth’s atmosphere.

“My father, Phil Watkins, was the creator of the PacWind technology. His legacy is the invention of a solution that harnesses the forces of nature to provide affordable, clean energy to everyone,” said Mary Watkins, President of WePOWER. “He understood that the key element lay in simple technology and fast manufacturing processes, such as pultrusion. I am very proud to be continuing his legacy.”

Pultrusion - always an important part of WePOWER’s PacWind line of turbines - was invented in the same building that PacWind operates out of today. In fact, the inventor of pultrusion, W. Brandt Goldsworthy, was a mentor to PacWind’s late founder, Phil Watkins, and to his daughter, Mary Watkins, who today serves as the President of WePOWER.

PacWind Turbines

WePOWER’s PacWind line of innovative, patented turbines have only a few moving parts and can easily be installed almost anywhere. PacWind turbines can capture and create energy from multi-directional winds as low as 3mph and survive wind speeds in excess of 147mph due to the self-regulating, patented air foil. In addition, they are free of noise, vibration and maintenance, while also safe to people and animals.

Overview of Green Energy The push for green energy has been steadily gaining momentum in the U.S over the past year.

From the Obama administration to T. Boone Pickens to everyday Americans who practice green lifestyles, there is a sincere effort to reduce our carbon footprint and build a clean, green future thereby reducing our dependence on foreign oil.

“WePOWER’s PacWind turbines and its production capability are poised to make this ‘new green energy economy’ and energy independence come to life today thanks to the revolutionary, transformational technology of our PacWind line of turbines.” added Mary Watkins.

 The Future is Now

“The energy technology revolution is about to change how we live and how we as a nation can again prosper,” explained Marvin Winkler.  “WePOWER can make renewable energy more accessible as we have the formula to bring wind turbines and wind energy to the forefront of America.”

At a time where “yes we can” rings in the spirit of every American, WePOWER is proud to be taking the first step towards making clean energy more accessible to everyone.

WePOWER and PacWind Announce Strategic Alliance

November 17th, 2008

Companies Will Collaborate to Provide Wind Energy Solutions in the U.S. and Around the World

LOS ANGELES, CA, and TORRANCE, CA, (Wednesday, Nov 19, 2008) – WePOWER, LLC, a modern renewable energy company, today announced its strategic alliance with PacWind, the designer and manufacturer of innovative wind turbines. WePOWER will manage all business development, sales, marketing and strategic development for PacWind on an exclusive basis. WePOWER will manage all business operations related to the energy created by PacWind’s vertical axis wind turbines including the tax incentives, energy rebates and carbon credits.

The companies will collaborate to deliver perpetual and clean energy solutions which will help reduce carbon emissions and provide an economically viable alternative to traditional carbon-emitting energy. The companies will focus on developing wind energy applications in densely populated urban and suburban markets, taking advantage of PacWind’s vertical axis technology, as well as the traditional rural markets, like wind farms.

“WePOWER shares our vision for expanding the use and utilization of wind turbine technology across a variety of applications, including urban areas,” said PacWind CEO Mary Watkins. “WePOWER will help us leverage our transformational wind energy technologies and bring them to new and untapped markets.”

The partnership between the two companies is timely as the energy needs of the U.S.continue to increase as does the country’s desire to rely on energy that which has little or no impact on the environment. New advances in wind turbine design now enable turbines to operate at lower wind speeds and to harvest more of the wind’s energy in innovative ways–dramatically expanding commercial and consumer interest in wind power technology.

“Clearly, PacWind is and has been a leader in the development of versatile and cost effective wind energy technology. And we believe that together the two companies can help drive the uptake of perpetual wind energy solutions in rural, suburban and urban settings,” said WePOWER Chairman and CEO, Marvin Winkler.
